let us introduce - Natalia Krystyna.
In her own words Construction Queen
and The Odd One with Nine Lives.
As you can see she runs 3 businesses,
mothered 5 kids and at the end of a busy day goes to the gym. No wonder it's hard to get her on the phone and why often when you call her you simply get: “You’ve reached Natalia. Aren't you lucky!?” - delivered with her sassy and cheeky voice. Now, if that’s not a cool greeting then what is wrong with you?! After three attempts we finally got to talk and as we are not in the business of wasting anyone’s time we go deep right from the start. |
What’s the most important thing in life for you?
“My kids,” she answers without missing a bit or any hesitation. "Surely, as a mother, our greatest gift and creation should be our kids? Why do we work hard and set an example as good human beings if not for our future generations?" |
What was your childhood like and how did that shape your parenting?
My dad is, and always has been, my greatest inspiration. Beyond his intelligence he is ambitious, down-to-earth and extremely witty. I remember sitting on his knee as a young girl watching Margaret Thatcher on TV and him drilling into my head that I could run the country too one day if I so desired. He has so much heart - literally, on his treadmill every day now even at nearly 90 - and he is the reason I am ruthlessly ambitious: his genes, and to make him proud. We believe that kids learn everything at home. What example or what life do you want to show your kids? To always be honest, even in your moments of discomfort or embarrassment; to treat others with respect and love even if they do not give that to you; to have goals and work hard to reach them; but ultimately to do what makes your heart happy. |
Having 8 babies [5 humans and 3 businesses!] - can a woman have it all, life and work/life balance, success, money and family time?
Yes, lots of us do it, but it shouldn't be expected. I have as much respect for women who chose to simply be a mother, or a successful businesswoman. Whatever works for you is what you should be celebrated for. What’s your time management trick to stay on top of the busy schedule and find time for yourself? Luckily I don't like much sleep, so I gym early and cram everything else in before bedtime; however if I’m struggling some days it’s all about prioritising. Luckily I’m like a whirlwind in most arenas so get lots done, plus I like to be kept busy for a good mental health level. If i sit still I think about my own mortality too much. What advice do you have for young women out there? The same as I would have for young men: stay true to yourself, be a good person, make yourself proud to look in the mirror, dream A LOT, and know that whatever you dream you can make possible. I don't like this term ‘toxic positivity’ that is doing the rounds at the moment. I’m not for one moment suggesting that we are all batting from the same position, but I believe that anybody can get to where they want to be if they believe in themselves and set out to make it happen. |
One of your favourite hashtags on social media is #positivemindset. Why is that and how do you keep yours on the plus side?
I once read that you might as well be an optimist rather than a pessimist, because your emotions will rarely affect the outcome and that stuck with me. I also think having clinical depression in the past and counselling I learned to always try to maintain a positive mindset so it kind of became a habit. Talk to me about supporting women and supporting women in business? Why is it even a theme, why do we need to remind people about it? Why isn’t it a thing by default? Unpopular opinion, but it makes me a little uneasy when we talk about about ‘women in business’ or ‘women’ as a separate discussion from men. I am aware that there is a disparity between genders, still; however I often question whether by repeatedly questioning a divide that will always be there (to a lesser degree decade by decade surely), are we doing more harm than good? Why can’t we focus on supporting people in general, as those who need it the most will surely get it? How about we as women use that disproportion to give us traction to force those changes ourselves? What do you do to support women and what else can we do? Or what else would you love to see happening? I have offered to take on female apprentices through my construction business, for those who are struggling to force that change themselves, but as previously highlighted, I’m also all about offering jobs and accommodation for homeless vets, and contributing to building schools in Africa. We need to do more for people who are struggling to make those changes themselves, whether they be poor, or female, or non-white. If we all did a little it would contribute to such a lot. If you had to or could do it all over again [life, career, etc] - would you change anything… and why? Not a thing. Everything has led me to this beautiful moment where I am happy, healthy and comfortable in life, and I am safe in the knowledge that every decision I have made to get me here, including using the motivation of the haters, doubters and the nay-sayers. |
Hobby? Anything else than gym, pls?
Eating. I probably eat out or have my food cooked for me for ¾ of all my meals. Fav drink? Bollinger Rosé. Fav food? Any seafood, probably salmon. Fav place? Home, after that then Los Angeles. Will have a second home there one day if I don’t move there. Fav human being? Myself. Because if I didn't love and respect myself then nothing else in my life would work out - my mental health, me as a mother, a wife,a friend, a boss. Second favourites have to be my children. When was the last time you went on holiday and where? Dubai, Oct. 2021. Football or rugby? Football. Tea or coffee? Black coffee or Bollinger, dependent on mood, not time of day. Cats or dogs? Neither, not really an animal person. Muffin or donut? Donut, hole glazed, reminds me of some of my finer moments. Finish this sentence: “Life is…” hard “Success is…” different things for different people “Happy is…” family. Ultimately, everybody only ever wants to be loved. |
Tell me more about “fighting Cyclops in a fur bikini whilst Cristiano Ronaldo watches on lustfully in awe…”?
Haha! I used to have a major crush on Ronaldo during his first stint at Man Utd. and would've walked over hot coals to gain his attention, but instead I settled for a Chelsea player short-term. I would dream of looking hot and kicking ass to lure him in, because all men like a Barbie doll who can handle herself. And fur bikinis will ALWAYS be a good bedroom accessory.

You say you have 9 lives. Which one is this and who are you in your next one?
It was meant more as in I should be dead a few times over. Close call with a Transit van whilst on my Repsol Fireblade, dodgy encounters with even dodgier males in my youth, showboating in a speedboat and almost crashing into a ferry, and a car crash I should never have walked away from to name a few. I reckon I probably only have a couple of lives left, that’s why I live life every day like it’s my last, because one day it will be.
You’re hosting a dinner party and you can invite 9 people [dead or alive]. Who gets the invite and why?
Firstly I have to invite Gordon Ramsay to cook the food because I love being presented with culinary masterpieces, plus I’d love him to throw the odd insult at everybody.
Chris Hemsworth could be the buff butler serving my food and anything else I so desired if I shoved a £50 down his apron.
I’d have Margot Robbie as waitress so that I could admire her flawless beauty all night, with Tony Blair as toilet cleaner for the evening (and we’re having the spiciest curry).
Taylor Swift would be on vocals so that I could chat her up at the end of her set about me getting into one of her amazing music vids. A good choice for doorman would be Margaret Thatcher because she would take no messing, and I would love to gain an insight into her mind and an unseen eye into the world of British politics.
The only person in the world I actually want to meet is the Queen, so I would love to brag about that with a joint selfie and tap her up for a possible OBE in the future if my charity work grows.
I’d have to ask my mother as well or she’d never forgive me for not asking her to a dinner party at my house, plus she could do the dishes. That just leaves my dinner date for the evening.
I’d ask Martin Luther King to ultimately thank him for changing the world without the need for violence, and to ask him whether he truly lived in fear knowing the risk to his own life was highly probable in his desire for positive change.
What's the thing you're the proudest of out of everything you have done/accomplished so far?
Birthed five individuals who have gone on to carve their own paths and impress off their own backs. No business or bank balance gives me greater pride than those five humans. If your kids are your universe, even on days you struggle to keep going yourself, then that should be your proudest achievement.
How is the world a better place because you’re here?
If I am making a person’s life better by giving them motivation, a reason to carry on pushing through their dark days (or just by giving awesome head) then surely that’s a good thing.
After your nine lives - what is the one thing you want to be known for?
Leaving a positive, lasting impression in people’s lives for whatever that means to them.
What a gift you have if the mere thought of you is enough to cause a positive change in somebody else.
