Après-ski sensation Bar Hütte is officially open at Liverpool ONE’s Chavasse Park for an unforgettable festive season.
Inspired by some of the coolest après-ski bars in Europe, Bar Hütte brings the slopes to you with cosy ‘carol-oke’ hüttes, party lodges, signature shot-skis, wreath-making sessions, and family events. Whether it’s a work Christmas party, a catch-up with friends, a cosy date night, or family fun, this winter escape, beneath Chavasse Park’s iconic Christmas tree, is the ultimate spot to embrace the festive spirit in style.

A winter programme of hundreds of exciting activities for eligible children and young people, delivered by local voluntary and community sector organisations, has been announced for over the Christmas holidays.
The Winter Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF) will start from 22 December and is open for families to book the activities they’d like to get involved with now.
Children and young people, from reception to age 16, who are eligible for benefits related free school meals, will be able to access hundreds of activities throughout the Winter holidays including specific provision available for children with SEND or additional needs - at no cost to them.
There’s a great range of festive and non-festive activities across the city including trips topantomimes, festive arts, crafts, cards and decoration making, Santa’s Grotto, winter wonderland disco, roller skating disco, rave dance, cheerleading, tumbling, zorbing, nerf battles, circus skills, Lego activities, film and jewellery making, basketball, trampolining and ice skating to name but a few! A meal is included for every child attending.
There is a central booking system to make it easier for families to find and book activities.

Liverpool special school, Abbot’s Lea School in Woolton, has been named the UK’s best school for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and inclusive practice, and has won the title of Most Inspirational Specialist School in the Northwest.
The school is recognised nationally as a leader in inclusive education, standing out for its commitment to academic excellence, therapeutic innovation, and life skills development for students with autism and highly complex needs. Adding to the celebrations, the school also scooped an Educate Award this month, being named the Most Inspirational Specialist School in the Northwest.
