Charle new single is out on Spotify. [lyrics and link below] .ENERGY - lyrics
Thought it was forever Now I'm learning from it Thought we could be better From the day it started Made a world together And in front of our eyes We watched it fall apart Everything I wanted You could never see it Baby you're so toxic But you didn't mean it Yeah you made a promise But I can't turn back again, back again All my energy Find my inner peace Do what's good for me And I'm taking my time All my energy Find my inner peace Do what's good for me And I'm taking my time Holding onto something But I'm holding back I did it all for nothing Now I'm sick and tired of All the things you're saying And your grip on me is still to tight I'd rather fight Everytime I run right back I don't wanna leave you in the past After all this time I had your back But the weights too much I've had enough, I All my energy Find my inner peace Do what's good for me And I'm taking my time All my energy Find my inner peace Do what's good for me And I'm taking my time All this time i've tried to find The thing that makes me stronger But how could I feel alive If you just make me weaker Sleepless nights and compromise I need a fucking breather I've realised you're in disguise And now it's no surprise All my energy Find my inner peace Do what's good for me And I'm taking my time. Meet the new Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Roy Gladden“The city has changed beyond recognition over my lifetime, from a city of largely manufacturing jobs, to the dreadful slump and unemployment of the 1980’s. Liverpool is now reborn and is developing its strength as an outward looking, regenerating city which needs tourism at its heart. “My experience and knowledge within the Culture and Visitor Economy Select Committee will enable me as Lord Mayor, to be an ambassador and represent our city to the many visitors, both national and international and display our greatest asset, our people and its history. “The theme of my Lord Mayoral year will be ‘change’ and I have chosen local charities which will represent how our city has changed in its perception and culture throughout my lifetime.” Cllr Roy Gladden grew up above his grandma’s chip shop on Breckfield Road in Everton, attending Granton Road Junior School. He joined the King’s Own Royal Border Regiment at the age of 17, and was discharged in 1967. At the age of 40, he studied for a social work degree from Liverpool John Moores University, and began working for the council as a social worker in Everton, until his retirement in 2010. Cllr Gladden was first elected in Clubmoor in 1982, and chaired the Libraries and Arts Committee and was also Vice Chair of Social Services, serving as a councillor until 1987. He returned as a councillor for County in 2010, and has chaired the Culture, Tourism and Visitor Economy Select Committee for the last three years. As a veteran, Roy has, for many years, supported personnel from the Armed Forces, Reservists, the Merchant Navy and their families and became the Armed Forces Champion for Liverpool City Council in 2018. Cllr Gladden has been an active trade unionist all his working life within the GMB and Unison, and was fulltime convenor and chair of the council’s Joint Trade Union Committee. Roy’s wife, Cllr Roz Gladden – who was previously Lord Mayor in 2016/17 – will be Lady Mayoress, with his daughters all willing and able to stand in at any time. I really look forward to each session, it’s so much fun you forget you’re actually working out!” “I needed to do something and interaction with other people is much better than doing exercise alone. I now look forward to my mid-week and weekend sessions all thanks to Papa!” “My kids love asking if I’m doing a Papa session now (Joe who?) and jumping in front of the camera. The strength session is my favourite and the rusty dumbbells have come out the garage for the first time in years.” "James has been great to give up his free time to run thee workout sessions. Not only do you get to catch up with colleagues, but it is good exercise and is good to do something positive" What are the benefits of the bootcamp? It is really important to train correctly, understand how your body works and embrace the fact that exercise is not easy. We hear a lot that exercise is prescribed for managing stress but have you ever asked yourself why? we also sometimes set goals which are not achievable leaving us disheartened and we fall off the exercise wagon. Have you ever asked yourself why you are exercising and evaluated to see if what your are doing the right exercise to reach your goals. If you are a 100m sprinter you do not train to run a marathon. My view is to keep your exercise routine simple, keep to the basic and you will not go wrong. However, your sometimes need to shock your body, get out your comfort zone and go do something that will challenge you. The Bootcamp will also help you train your mind, once you tap into this additional source of energy your body will achieve great things beyond your wildest imagination. Are you as fit as you actually think.......my Bootcamp will give you the answers. If you are then it is confirmation your are training correctly, if you are not then it will help your focus for the future. |
