The four day bootcamp runs from 23-27 September
and takes place in Ayia Napa , Cyprus.

The  five night/four day event aims to empower people
into improving their lives and possibly reinventing themselves into leaner,
fitter and more self confident beings.
The rigorous daily fitness programme includes
exercise sessions that target both physical and mental strength
to push you beyond your own expectations,
Adventure Challenges hikes across rugged Cyprus coastlines
such as Cape Greco and mountainous paths in Oroklini.
With Papa Luckman leading the way always expect the unexpected
but also the opportunity to explore your own personal goals in 1-2-1 sessions.
In addition there will be coaching sessions
in improving mindset and performance.

Why choose Cyprus?"
"Cyprus provides a stunning back drop but also
the opportunity to refresh, reboot and restart.
4 days will feel like 4 weeks."

James, 46, from Keighley in Yorkshire, said,
“I like exploring new opportunities, this is how we grow mentally, so why not set my Bootcamps abroad in the Sun.
The sunshine has such good medicinal properties,
it is uplifting mentally and is the perfect ingredient to achieving the best physical output.
I have personally visited and selected each of the Bootcamp locations
designing a comprehensive training programme to complement the stunning views.
I want people to enjoy exercise and use the challenge of a Bootcamp
as a springboard to making exercise a habit.
I love the buzz that exercise gives you after a hard training session,
I can guarantee you will be smiling each day and feeling very proud of your achievements.”

He added,
“We often  set goals which are not achievable leaving us disheartened
and we fall off the exercise wagon.
Have you ever asked yourself why you are exercising
and evaluated to see if what you’re  doing is the right exercise
to reach your goals.
If you are a 100m sprinter you do not train to run a marathon.
My view is to keep your exercise routine simple,
keep to the basic and you will not go wrong.
However, you sometimes need to shock your body,
get out your comfort zone and go do something that will challenge you.
The Bootcamp will also help you train your mind,
once you tap into this additional source of energy
your body will achieve great things beyond your wildest imagination.
Are you as fit as you actually think…….my Bootcamp will give you the answers.

If you are then it is confirmation your are training correctly,
if you are not then it will help your focus for the future”

So why does he call himself Papa?

The nickname started at university
and he took on the role of managing his housemates with a cleaning rota.
From there he went onto working in the police force and managed various teams and once again the name stuck.

James established the Papa Luckman Fitness Group during the first lockdown to support colleagues to stay active through a difficult time.
The Papa sessions where then shared with friends and family
across social media.
Members helped shape the sessions which now
feature every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Papa Luckman has been recognised across an organisation of 3000 employees as a Wellbeing Champion and offered virtual drop in sessions to support staff leading a more active lifestyle.

James not only organises and runs the fitness session in his own time,
he also makes himself available to hold 1-2-1 personal training sessions.
He was also nominated for the National Wellbeing Award in 2021.

"It is really important to train correctly, understand how your body works and embrace the fact that exercise is not easy. We hear a lot that exercise is prescribed for managing stress but have you ever asked yourself why?"

Why has fitness always been a passion for you?

"Fitness has always been my passion as it has helped with my self confidence, personal believe that I can achieve anything I put my mind to and helped me to manage high pressured situations.
Fitness is key to managing mental health.
Fitness is a daily challenge, it is not easy but failure is not an option"
